Albert L. Dent, 65, was peacefully called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 10, 2008.

 Albert was born May 11, 1943, in Klamath Falls, Ore., to Albert Vincent Lopes Sr. and Berdena Joan Mustard Lopes.  He was raised by Dorsey Edward and Laura Adeline Nelson Dent.

He graduated from Lewiston High School in 1961, then graduated from Oregon Technical Institute.

 A marriage to Charlotte Hamilton produced two sons, Jim Dent and Jerry Dent.  The marriage ended in divorce.  Al later married Sharon West in 1981.  They were married until his death.

Albert spent his entire adult life working and teaching in the automotive industry until his retirement in 2001.  He resided in Clarkston until his death and was a member of Orchards Baptist Church in Lewiston.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon; four sons, Jim Dent, Jerry Dent, Brian West and Chris West; one daughter, Kristin D’Ambrosio; two brothers, Thomas Edward Dent and Matt Kaleb; two sisters, Theresa Ancich and Laura Kaleb; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his natural birth parents, Berdena Joan Kaleb and Albert Vincent Lopes Sr.; his adoptive parents, Dorsey Edward and Laura Adeline Nelson Dent; and his brother, Howard Dent.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 16, at Orchards Baptist Church, 1002 Bryden Ave., Lewiston, with a luncheon to follow.  All memorials should be sent to Orchards Baptist Church Growth Fund, 1002 Bryden Ave., Lewiston, ID 83501.
