CHARLENE E. GAISER
May 7, 2008
Charlene E. Gaiser, 65, passed away Wednesday,
May 7, 2008 at her Lewiston home. She was born Feb. 22, 1943, in
Lewiston, to Harold and Bessie Gaiser. She graduated from Lewiston High School
in 1961.
Charlene lived in Lewiston her entire life.
She studied at Mr. Nick’s Beauty College, then was a self-employed hair stylist
for more than 35 years.
She was a member of Our lady of Lourdes
Catholic Church in Lewiston. She also belonged to Catholic Daughters and the
Eagles Lodge. She enjoyed birdwatching, visiting friends, karaoke, coffee
dates, and organizing reunions for the LHS class of 1961. Charlene loved her
friends and family and will be missed by all who knew her.
Charlene is survived by her mother, Bessie
Gaiser of Lewiston; her son, Jason Austin of Lewiston; daughter-in-law Renee
Corder of Lewiston; three sisters, Janet Woolfolk of Clarkston, Frances Hampton
of Genesee and Carol Coleman of Lewiston; and many nieces and nephews. She was
preceded in death by her father, Harold Gaiser; and a brother, Jim McKenzie.
The rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Monday at
Our Lady of Lourdes Church. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at
the church. Father Les Kish will be the officiant. Vassar-Rawls Funeral Home
in Lewiston is handling arrangements.
All those who attend her service will be given
peanuts to feed the squirrels at the Normal Hill Cemetery (one of her favorite
pastimes) in lieu of a lunch gathering. Memorial donations may be made to the
Catholic Daughters at Our Lady of Lourdes.
