DEANNA
HOLLIDAY HARTWIG
APRIL 3, 2009
Deanna G. Hartwig, 66, passed away
Friday, April 3, 2009, of cardiac arrest. Deanna was the life of the
party. She enjoyed spending time with family and her many friends. She
loved traveling with “Crazy Campers,” boating with the “Boat People,”
and bowling with friends. All of her children’s friends called her
mom. She especially loved spending time with her husband, Gerald, her
children and spoiling her grandchildren.
Deanna was born to William and Paula
Holliday Nov. 23, 1942, at Winchester. She lived the first years of her
life there, moving to Lewiston while still in grade school.
She attended schools in Lewiston
until her marriage to Gerald M. Hartwig, Nov. 26, 1960. Completing
school was important to Deanna and she received her general education
development certificate in 1976.
Deanna worked at Tomlinson’s Dairy
and Sears, both in Lewiston. She retired from Sears after many years of
service.
Deanna was preceded in death by her
parents. She is survived by her husband, Gerald; her sisters, Donna
Holliday, and Darlene Knapp and husband Bob; her sons, Lee and wife
Lisa, and Darrin and wife Sharon; and her eight grandchildren.
A memorial service is planned for 2
p.m. Thursday at Mountain View Funeral Home in Lewiston. A celebration
of life will follow at the Lewiston Eagles Lodge with a covered-dish
dinner. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Heart
Association or to the American Diabetes Association.
