JOHN JOSEPH (JOE) COX JR.

Funeral services for John J. Cox Jr., 25, Scottsdale, Ariz., who was killed in an automobile accident Saturday, will be held at Scottsdale this morning at 9.  Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery, Coeur d’Alene, tomorrow at 2 p.m.

Cox was the son of John J. Cox of Scottsdale and Mrs. V. E. MacEnroe, Coeur d’Alene.  He was graduated from Lewiston High School in 1961, and attended the University of Idaho.  He was a member of the Green Berets in Vietnam.

In high school Cox was sports editor of the school paper,  The Bengal’s Purr, and was a varsity football player in his senior year.  He was employed for a while last spring as a bartender at the Lewiston Golf & Country Club and was an employee of Potlatch Forests, Inc.

He is also survived by a sister, Terry.
