ROBERT L. BENSON

Robert Larry Benson, formerly of Lewiston, died Sunday at his home of a blood clot to his heart.  He was 42 and had been living at Chandler, Ariz.

Benson had worked as an engineering liaison for 20 years in Phoenix.  He was born to Paul and Belle Chandler July 20, 1943, at Spokane.  He lived at Lewiston for a time and moved to Arizona in 1963.  He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1963 to 1967.  He was employed by Garrett Corp. Turbine Engine Co. at Phoenix and was a communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Chandler.

He is survived by his wife, Maria, of Chandler; sons James Benson of Phoenix, Jeff Dominguez of Chandler, and Tom Dominguez of Tempe, Ariz.; daughters Kristi Benson of Phoenix and Susan Benson of Chandler; and sister Nancy Benson.

Burial was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Mesa, Ariz.
